Amcor Expands Paper-Based Packaging Portfolio Amcor, a leading global company in developing and manufacturing environmentally friendly packaging solutions, has announced the expansion of its AmFiber™ Performance Paper packaging range in Europe to include heat-sealed pouches for dry culinary and beverage applications such as instant coffee, beverage powders, spices, seasonings and instant soups. AmFiber™ Performance Paper, first introduced in 2022 for snacks and confectionery, is a recyclable, high-barrier, paper-based packaging. Offering high barrier protection against oxygen and moisture, AmFiber™ Performance Paper delivers superior performance on brand owners' packaging machinery. In addition to adding new product categories to its application portfolio, Amcor has invested in production capacity to meet growing demand for such paper packaging. The company integrated a state-of-the-art production line into its Amcor Flexibles Alzira facility in Spain to support Amcor's global business units. The production line is equipped to deliver both cold and hot seal AmFiber™ packaging that provides hermetic seals to guarantee proper product protection throughout the supply chain and entire shelf life.
