Aksa Goodwill Team Completes School Renewal Project
With the awareness that "we are responsible to both the environment and society," volunteer employees of Aksa Akrilik renovated Aksa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Taşköprü, Yalova, through a partnership with the Yalova Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Fixers' Club.
Aksa Akrilik renovated Aksa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. The "Aksa Goodwill Team," composed entirely of volunteer Aksa employees, carried out the renovation project in cooperation with the Yalova Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Fixers' Club.
The school renovation project, which took place with the participation of the Fixers' Club, Yalova Provincial Director of National Education Halil İbrahim Akmeşe and volunteer Aksa employees, involved 30 volunteer workers, 30 students and teachers.
As part of the project, needs were identified to help students enjoy more pleasant time at school, and arrangements were made to boost student motivation. Various graphic designs were applied to the single-colored exterior walls of the gymnasium, and illustration work was added to the main entrance wall used daily by students.
Community spaces, a garden library, a ping-pong area and social event spaces were created using wooden pallets. An installation made from acrylic fiber brought dynamism to the school's interior space.
Cengiz Taş, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Aksa Akrilik, stating that they will engage in volunteer activities throughout the year through projects beneficial to society and the environment, continued as follows:
"We aim to create social benefit through the principles of participation and sustainability. With this goal in mind, our first implemented project was the renovation of Aksa Vocational School. We carried out the project through cooperation between volunteer employees of Aksa Akrilik, the Fixers' Club and the Yalova Provincial Directorate of National Education."Advertisement
