This figure is considered equivalent to the clean air provided by 5.5 million trees throughout their lifetime. Akfen Renewable Energy, which continues uninterrupted investments to bring domestic and renewable energy sources to the Turkish economy, has achieved a reduction of nearly 5.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent through green and clean energy produced at its power plants with 699 MW installed capacity. This figure is considered equivalent to the clean air provided by approximately 5.5 million trees throughout their lifetime. According to the report by Vigeo Eiris, Moody's environmental and social governance and sustainability research and evaluation organization, Akfen Renewable Energy ranks first among all companies in the electricity sector globally, first in the Europe-Asia market across all sectors, and among the top 30 companies worldwide across all sectors, standing out with its balanced portfolio. The company's installed capacity totaling 699 MW comprising 228.7 MW hydropower, 121.4 MW solar and 348.8 MW wind energy has been effective in reducing carbon emissions. Akfen Renewable Energy continues pursuing internationally recognized carbon certification processes including VCS (Verified Carbon Standard), Gold Standard and Global Carbon Council (GCC) at its power plants, and also continues selling carbon credits. The company's carbon emission offsetting volume achieved since 2011 has reached 609,980 tonnes.

"Balanced Production Portfolio in Renewable Energy" Providing information on the matter, Akfen Renewable Energy Deputy General Manager Mustafa Kemal Güngör stated that they have one of Turkey's most balanced production portfolios in the renewable energy field. Looking at this, we have one of Turkey's most balanced investment portfolios.
