"We have been reporting to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) since 2020, and in our previous three reports we received grades of 'B-, B, and B' respectively. We are proud to have achieved the program's most prestigious and highest rating as a result of the consistent work we have conducted in the field of sustainability. As Abdi İbrahim, for 112 years we have operated with a mission to improve life, and while continuing our economic activities, we prioritize leaving a positive mark on society and the world in which we live. We contribute to green transformation by considering environmental impact in all our business processes, from supply chain to bringing products to market. In our activities, we aim to be part of solutions that will meet national and international requirements and stakeholder expectations regarding combating climate change; we aim to create sustainable benefits by implementing projects in line with circular economy principles. In line with the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C target, by 2030 we aim to reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 60% compared to the 2020 baseline year, and our Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 45%. Last year, we received the title of first and only Turkish pharmaceutical company to have its commitments approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are making steady progress toward becoming a carbon-neutral Abdi İbrahim by 2030. As part of our HEAL2050 strategy, this year we have also committed to taking our targets a step further by setting a '2050 Net Zero Emissions Target' in line with the SBTi Net Zero Standard. Being included on the A List in the Climate Change Program under CDP is gratifying and a matter of pride in terms of recognizing the steps we have taken and our vision. We will continue our efforts to improve life and the future with the same determination as we have done for 112 years."Advertisement
