30,000 Tons of Construction Waste Recycled in Nine Months
Concrete waste generated from demolition in Lüleburgaz district is being recycled.
Mayor Murat Gerenli visited the construction and demolition waste recovery facility and received information about the operations.
Gerenli stated that they established the recovery facility in 2021 and emphasized their commitment to recycling efforts against environmental degradation.
Expressing that they attempt to reprocess all recyclable materials, Gerenli noted that they have also recovered concrete waste generated from construction demolition.
Saying they have recovered 30,000 tons of concrete waste over the past nine months, Gerenli stated: "In doing so, we converted the waste we recycled into filling material. We have ended the environmental pollution caused by construction and demolition waste. Thus, we are both saving costs and recycling waste. Through recycling this year, we achieved savings of TRY 7,000,000."
