ULUTEK Aims to Boost Exports Through Artificial Intelligence

AI-Powered Export Target from ULUTEK Event Gates, a company from ULUTEK Technopark, aims to export artificial intelligence-enabled safety systems that prevent workplace accidents to Europe. Event Gates Founder Funda Ergin, noting that they aim to prevent workplace accidents in industry particularly through AI-enabled safety systems, stated that they are targeting exports to Europe in the coming year. Event Gates Founder Funda Ergin, stating that they have developed many technologies using artificial intelligence, said: "We set up a crane safety system in the press workshop of an automobile factory in Bursa in 2019, which we put into operation during the pandemic process. After lengthy tests, our customer decided to install our safety system for all cranes. In the midst of the pandemic and chip crisis, we focused on occupational safety solutions and met the needs of various sectors in manufacturing industry, particularly automotive. Since the majority of our customers were from Bursa, we felt the need to carry out our R&D activities in a region closer to our customers. ULUTEK Technopark was an established, settled area that we had been monitoring beforehand. We moved our R&D work to the region. Our access to skilled workforce has increased. The Technopark Management's work in finding new customers, developing relations with local and central authorities, and using its representation power at events such as trade fairs creates valuable opportunities for us," he said.

Developing Camera-Equipped Forklift Safety System

  Ergin said, "We are preparing to introduce a camera-equipped forklift safety system. Our other product with ongoing R&D activities is an artificial intelligence solution for transfer presses. We are planning a product with complex infrastructure but very easy to use. In addition to these, we are participating in the GrowthX Acceleration programme jointly organized by Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Microsoft. We are collaborating with Dubai DHL Innovation Centre on the use of machine vision solutions in logistics. Our team is also growing with new hires. We are continuing our preparations to bring our products to manufacturers in Europe next year," he said.
