FANUC Eliminates Dead Zone Problem FANUC's new ceiling-mounted robot SR-3iA/U shortens working time with its high-speed capabilities. The robot, with 150 N thrust force and weighing only 27 kg, carries loads of up to 3 kg thanks to its reinforced arm. Japan-based FANUC, which adds value to factory automation through innovative solutions, is eliminating the "dead zone" problem faced by conventional SCARA robots with its new robot model SR-3iA/U. Moreover, the SR-3iA/U, which stands out in design and specifications, offers a cost-effective and easy-to-configure alternative compared to delta robots, which are much more expensive in applications such as assembly, packaging and material handling. The new robot, which eliminates movement restrictions across the entire work area, demonstrates 100% success in all work processes.

0.5 second standard lifting speed for 1 kg load

FANUC's SR-3iA/U model becomes a cost-effective solution for engineers setting up new production lines or machines. The robot, which provides easy integration especially with its small size compared to delta robots, is fully integrated with in-arm services, preventing interference curves with peripheral devices. Moreover, the SR-3iA/U, which consumes 4-5 times less energy than delta robots, offers a completely smarter solution. With 150 N thrust force, the SR-3iA/U is also used in many "pick-and-place" material handling and packaging applications thanks to its high-speed capabilities. For a 1 kg load, the robot has a standard lifting speed of 0.5 seconds and does not compromise on precision despite its high speed. On linear axes, it provides ±0.01 mm repeatability and 0.004° wrist rotation repeatability.

Offers load-carrying capacity of up to 3 kg

The FANUC SR-3iA/U, with an improved weight-to-load ratio compared to previous models, carries loads of up to 3 kg thanks to its reinforced arm weighing only 27 kg. The wrist offers ±720° motion as standard while also featuring a continuous rotation option. Fully compatible with the latest FANUC R-30iB Compact Plus controller, the robot also eliminates the need for iPendant Touch through its web-based user interface, offering intuitive and easy programming via tablet or PC.
