TUSAŞ - Airbus Partnership

Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ) and Airbus have signed three new cooperation agreements. The contracts will cover the 'A350F barrier wall', 'A320 series sections 18 and 19 combination' and 'A220 series mid-fuselage panels'. From 2024 onwards, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii will be the sole supplier of the barrier wall for the A350F platform throughout the entire program. The company will design, manufacture and supply the barrier wall for the A350F platform, one of the newest platforms of wide-body cargo aircraft that is expected to shape the future of air transport. Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii will be responsible for 50 percent of the production and assembly of sections 18/19 of the 'Airbus A320 Single Aisle Series', and will also manufacture and deliver the mid-fuselage panels for the A220 series platforms as sole supplier from 2023 onwards.   For over 20 years, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii has supplied thousands of parts and components to Airbus platforms. Its ongoing projects include 'A350XWB winglets', 'A330 rudder', 'A320 section 18' and 'section 19' production. Speaking on the signed agreement, Vice Chairman of the Board Ömer Cihad Vardan made the following comments: "We are proud to sign yet another comprehensive and long-term work package with Airbus, a strategic partner with which we have collaborated in the aviation sector. I believe that the close cooperation between our company and Airbus will support the performance and cost effectiveness of the A320 series, A350F and A220 programs.
