Transparent Composite Looping Rocket Water Slide Since its establishment, Polin Waterparks has guided its operations with an "always innovative" perspective and manufactures all its products in a 35,000 m² closed facility that functions as a composite production academy. Beyond being the brand with the widest product diversity globally, with more than 3,500 projects bearing its name across 109 countries worldwide, Polin is known for its emphasis on research and development and the specialized design and production technologies it has introduced to the industry as a result of its R&D efforts. In 2006, Polin introduced to the sector Light-Resin Transfer Molding (L-RTM), a closed-mold technology that was state-of-the-art in slide manufacturing and had not been previously applied. Following this industry-changing development, Polin has introduced numerous new applications and products to the sector each year, including special design slides with natural light effects, custom patterns, semi-transparent features, and sound effects. For its contributions to the sector, Polin received the "Leading Edge" award in 2016, the most prestigious award in the industry from the World Waterpark Association in the United States. The "King Cobra" water slide, which it launched in 2010 and which was regarded as a new milestone in the sector—the world's first self-themed water slide—has been selected 9 times since 2012 as "Europe's Best Water Slide" and was chosen in 2013 as "Most Innovative Product in the Entertainment Sector" by the Composite Manufacturers Association. Due to its successful operations, Polin Waterparks became Turkey's first Research and Development (R&D) Center in its sector in the first quarter of 2017, operating as a global leader brand in water park design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation with 100% domestic capital and labor. Based on data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) official research "Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters" and the Public Information Platform for companies, Polin has been featured in the "R&D 250—Turkey's Top R&D-Spending Companies" research prepared by Turkishtime since 2014. In the "Turkey's Top 250-500 Companies with Highest R&D Spending" research, the eighth edition of which was conducted by Turkishtime in 2021, Polin Waterparks ranked as Turkey's 275th company with the highest R&D spending with 13 projects and the 4th company in the rubber-plastic-elastomer sector to which it belongs. Based on design registration numbers obtained within the scope of the research, it ranked 40th among the top 50 companies with 5 design registrations. In November 2018, Polin made a splash at the IAAPA Attractions Expo, the most important trade fair in the sector organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), where industry trends are determined and all players in world entertainment are brought together, by introducing yet another innovation that shook the sector. By presenting to the sector the world's first water slide made entirely of transparent composite material, Polin completed a groundbreaking application not only for the entertainment sector but also for the composite industry, and introduced this technology to the sector under the name "Glassy." Compared to transparent water slide components made of acrylic material, which we are accustomed to seeing on cruise ships, it will be a good alternative in terms of quality, functionality, price, and performance.

World's First Transparent Composite Looping Rocket Water Slide

Glass fiber-reinforced composite materials comprise approximately 90% of our product range. Polin places particular emphasis on new product development. Our innovative and sustainable efforts continue to advance R&D work to bring new perspectives to the entertainment sector, design new products, and make designed products producible and projectizable. In this context, Polin Waterparks, which has achieved many firsts in its own sector and continuously adds new award-winning water slides and water park projects, has added another success to its accomplishments by introducing the "World's First Transparent Composite Looping Rocket Water Slide" to the sector. The R&D preparations for our transparent composite project, all research and development work before and after, as well as all manufacturing and quality stages were carried out at our production facilities in Gebkim-Dilovası, Kocaeli, our central factory. In this process, 100% domestic materials were used within our R&D office, equipped laboratories, and state-of-the-art production facilities. The work at these stages was successfully completed by Turkish engineers with high academic expertise trained in our country, specialized R&D and experienced production personnel, following a long and exciting process. The installation of our first project took place in our country, and the world's first transparent composite Looping Rocket Water Slide was installed at the "Candyland" Water Park within Vogue Hotel in Bodrum, Muğla Province. The Looping Rocket Water Slide, a fast and high-adrenaline slide differentiated by its special entry technology in rocket form, increases excitement even further with its completely transparent composite application. However, as a completely transparent slide with its new usability, the Looping Rocket increases guests' adrenaline even more as it approaches in darkness. Until now, aqua park guests preferred water slides to cool off during hot daytime hours. From now on, guests have another reason to have fun after the sun sets. The Looping Rocket slide, which offers users a very different experience and adrenaline rush with its phosphorescent lights, becomes an exciting nighttime attraction for both users and spectators, and even passersby cannot resist watching the magnificent glimmer of this enchanting sight without experiencing the slide themselves. As the Polin Waterparks family, we will continue to work with all our strength for innovative endeavors, what we have brought to the sector and our country, and for the firsts and new experiences we have provided and continue to provide to our park guests.
