Polin Group Exports Water Parks to 112 Countries
Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank visited Polin Group, which manufactures water parks. Varank said, "Polin Group's design of such parks to more than 110 countries worldwide through its own R&D and design centers, their production, installation on-site and operation truly represent an important effort in terms of high value-added manufacturing."
Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank visited Polin Waterparks, the world leader in design, engineering, production and assembly of water parks, operating in GEBKİM OSB in Dilovası, Kocaeli. Minister Varank received information about the company's operations and examined the products developed there on-site.
Minister Varank conducted inspections at the composite materials used in water park production and assembly units in the production line, accompanied by Dilovası District Governor Metin Kubilay, the company's Board Chairman Barış Pakiş, Group CEO Başar Pakiş and company officials. Following the visit, in his remarks, Varank noted that Polin Group began its business life as a composite manufacturing company but later started building water parks, slides and aquariums in the entertainment sector.
Noting that the company builds turnkey water parks and also operates its own parks, Varank said, "Global demand for the entertainment sector is increasing every day. Different entertainment parks incorporating digital technologies are being built worldwide, from themed parks to roller coasters. Water parks are among the most important of these. With advances in composite technology, it is now possible to produce and design water parks in very different ways."

Drawing attention to the significant demand for water parks in the entertainment world, Varank said, "Both the size of this market and the fact that a Turkish company has secured a strong position in the market with such a powerful brand is very valuable for us."
Minister Varank emphasized that as a ministry they place great importance on value-added production and provide support from R&D onwards, stating that the company has a ministry-supported R&D center and its applications regarding the design center are being evaluated. Saying "Our engineers, technicians and designers designing, producing and exporting these products from the beginning hopefully will set an example for other players in the sector," Varank stated, "Polin Group is number one in the world in the water park field.
Through the support provided by Turkey, particularly through Turquality support, it is doing serious work abroad. I am pleased to have visited here and seen a facility with high standards. In the coming period, just as we support our companies in every high value-added sector, we will continue to support them in the entertainment sector as well."
After Polin Group was founded in Istanbul to produce fiberglass composite construction materials, it turned towards the tourism sector in the 1980s and began developing water slides. The company, which has completed more than 3,500 projects under its own brands in 112 countries, operates the world's largest water park production facility in Dilovası, Kocaeli, spanning 35,000 square meters.
