Permali Develops Composite Parts for Motorsports
Permali (Gloucester, United Kingdom), part of Diamorph Group (Manchester, United Kingdom), is an established supplier of advanced material solutions to the motorsports industry, particularly for Formula 1 and World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercars.
Permali is focused on utilizing its comprehensive R&D facilities to develop new product innovations for motorsports teams. It produces composites that are more environmentally friendly, more sustainable and use natural fibres.
In addition to more environmentally friendly materials, the operation leveraged R&D work to develop more durable composite materials that provide higher wear resistance on track. The new product is said to be actively used in Formula 1 races and was developed using a new fibre system that resulted in a stronger material.
Permali emphasizes that with automobiles reaching speeds of over 200 miles per hour and 0-60 in under three seconds, it is crucial that materials meet strict quality and safety standards while delivering optimum performance for racing teams.
Adam Pickard, Composite Engineer at Permali, actively involved in motorsports product development, stated: "Permali has been supplying precision-engineered high-performance materials to various motorsports racing teams for several decades.
The company has leveraged its comprehensive R&D and manufacturing capabilities to develop unrivalled products that combine durability and lightness for extremely demanding motorsports environments.
