Kimpur to Expand in European Market with New Production Facility in Latvia

Chemical industry company Kimteks Polyurethane Manufacturing and Trading Inc. (KİMPUR) took an important step toward strengthening its presence in Europe with a 25,000-ton capacity investment in Latvia. Under the protocol, KİMPUR entered into cooperation with Adamantan SA and established a partnership with the newly created company SIA Kimpur Europe in Latvia. SIA Kimpur Europe, formed with 75 percent KİMPUR ownership and with registration procedures completed, will continue its operations as a KİMPUR subsidiary. Kimteks Polyurethane Manufacturing and Trading Inc. (KİMPUR), ranked among Turkey's 500 largest industrial companies, pursued growth objectives in global markets by entering into cooperation with Adamantan SA in Latvia, one of Europe's most strategically important locations, and establishing a partnership with the newly created company SIA Kimpur Europe in Latvia. The company, which will continue its operations as a KİMPUR subsidiary, was established with 75 percent KİMPUR and 25 percent Adamantan ownership, and registration procedures have been completed. With this investment, KİMPUR will add 25,000 tons to its production capacity and strengthen its competitive position in European markets by leveraging logistical advantages. KİMPUR manufactures polyurethane systems used in various sectors such as footwear, automotive, furniture, heating and cooling, and insulation-construction, and leads the sector by exporting to more than 45 countries. For 39 years, KİMPUR has produced polyurethane systems for various sectors including automotive, footwear, furniture, construction, and building, and is taking confident steps toward its goal of securing a strong position in the European market and increasing sales through these investments.

"Latvia will be our strategic junction point"

KİMPUR Chief Executive Officer Cavidan Karaca stated: "We always aim to provide better, faster and higher quality service. We realized our Latvia investment in line with this objective. Through our cooperation in Latvia, we will strengthen our presence in Europe and create a strategic junction point. With our SIA Kimpur Europe company, which offers significant advantages in terms of production and logistics, we will provide faster supply to our customers in European markets and increase our market share." As one of Turkey's 100 percent domestic polyurethane system manufacturers, KİMPUR is among the few sector companies in Turkey and worldwide through technology and R&D investments. The company is designing its 50,000-ton investment in Düzce OIZ with a focus on sustainability and recycling, and its Latvia investment within a strategic framework. With its sustainability initiatives aimed at leaving a livable world for future generations, KİMPUR released its 2021 Sustainability Report last week.
