Huntsman Corporation will collaborate with Advanced Material Development Ltd (AMD) to develop functional composite materials integrated with carbon nanotubes.
Huntsman Corporation, a global materials solutions provider, announced that it will establish a strategic collaboration with Advanced Material Development Ltd (AMD), a leading nanomaterials company, to develop functional composite materials integrated with carbon nanotubes in the United States.
This collaboration will enable AMD's proprietary carbon technology to be integrated into Huntsman's resin systems, allowing the development of high-performance composite materials for the Defence and Aerospace industries.
Richard Lee, Commercial Director at AMD, stated: "We are delighted that Huntsman, as a global leader in resin composite technology, is giving us the opportunity to lead the development of these important new materials. Our operations in Texas look forward to supplying the highest-performance composite materials for the Cleantech, Defence and Aerospace industries."
Huntsman's senior technical leadership will work alongside AMD teams affiliated with Rice University in Texas and Sussex University in the United Kingdom to develop product solutions that are both cost-effective and reliable.
