Flokser Kimya Continues Investment Push
Flokser Kimya, which exports products for the polyurethane sector to more than 55 countries, is accelerating its investment programme.
Turkey's leading polyurethane systems house, Flokser Kimya, is backing its steady growth with new investment. The company has begun construction of a logistics centre in Istanbul Hadımköy with an investment of TRY 540 million to meet the needs of its production facility, while also providing world-standard, modern and environmentally conscious storage capacity to other firms operating in the region. The logistics centre, under construction on a 105,000 square-metre site, will be the region's first LEED-certified facility.
The project, scheduled for completion in May 2023, will support Istanbul's storage capacity with its high volume while serving both Flokser Kimya and manufacturers with warehouse requirements.
By exporting to more than 55 countries worldwide and supplying innovative polyurethane, polyol and polyester raw material solutions to the construction, footwear, sole, furniture, automotive, adhesive, white goods, insulation and defence technology sectors, Flokser Kimya has drawn attention with its recent investment activity.
The company, which has steadily increased its production capacity over the years, is now realising a LEED-certified logistics centre investment to meet the storage requirements of its production centre in Istanbul Hadımköy and manufacturers from various sectors operating in the region. The 105,000 square-metre logistics centre, featuring 12-metre floor heights and offering energy and water savings, low emissions and high efficiency, will begin operating in May 2023.
The logistics centre will contribute to meeting warehouse needs for manufacturing firms in Istanbul, featuring modern and environmentally conscious standards with high storage capacity and world-class specifications.
Ekin Tükek, General Manager of Flokser Kimya, commenting on the logistics centre under construction in Istanbul Hadımköy: "Flokser Kimya today exports to 55 countries, principally Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia. With our multidisciplinary working capability and process knowledge based on 40 years of industrial and 20 years of chemical experience, Flokser Kimya today ranks among Turkey's largest polyurethane, polyol and polyester producers.
The need for a logistics centre emerged as we steadily increased our production capacity over the years. In this context, we are building a 105,000 square-metre LEED-certified logistics centre with an investment of TRY 540 million near our production factory in Istanbul. We plan to open our logistics centre, which will meet the storage requirements of both Flokser Kimya and firms in various sectors in the region, in May 2023." he said.
