Dow and DuPont Shareholders Approve Merger

Approval Represents Milestone in Process Leading to Establishment of Three Independent, Market-Focused Companies Following the Merger

DuPont (NYSE:DD) and Dow Chemical Company (NYSE:DOW) announced today at their respective shareholder meetings that shareholders of both companies voted to approve all shareholder proposals required to complete the merger of all shares on an equal basis between the two companies. The approval represents a milestone in the process of dividing into three independent companies focused on their respective business areas, which is planned to take place following the merger of the two companies. The companies expect that, subject to receipt of regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, the merger will be completed in the second half of 2016. Andrew N.
