Corendon Airlines Contributes to National Technology Initiative
Sakarya University Advanced Technologies Application Community (SAITEM) will compete in the Shell Eco Marathon race to be held in the Netherlands with support from Corendon Airlines.
Corendon Airlines, seeking to contribute not only to the aviation sector but also to technological developments that shape the world's future, has sponsored Sakarya University Advanced Technologies Application Community (SAITEM), which aims to carry out innovative projects in various technology fields, particularly alternative energy, and comprises students from different disciplines. Following this sponsorship, SAITEM has set out to compete in the Shell Eco Marathon race to be held in Assen, Netherlands on 31 May - 3 June with support from Corendon Airlines.
SAITEM will compete in the Shell Eco Marathon, a prestigious organization where vehicles powered by electric or hydrogen energy compete on efficiency, with its vehicle named "EVrim V". The vehicle "EVrim V", which has previously placed in different competitions, has its shell and chassis made from carbon-fiber composite material. The vehicle's mechanical components are made from aluminum 7075 T6 material used in the aerospace industry. The vehicle, notable for its lightness, weighs only 65 kilograms.
