Assan Hanil, a major global supplier to the automotive sector, has signed a cooperation protocol with Uludağ University. Under the protocol, the company and university will develop joint projects and the university will provide academic support to the company's R&D activities.
Assan Hanil, an automotive supply sector manufacturer operating within Kibar Group, and Uludağ University have signed a protocol exemplifying university-industry cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz and Assan Hanil General Manager Atacan Güner.
According to a statement, the cooperation aims to increase lightweight vehicle solutions in the automotive industry, discover new application areas, develop composite materials, develop methods and technologies for series production with 3D printers, and produce joint projects for diversifying electrification application areas.
Company executives will also support youth education by sharing their sector experience with students.
Assan Hanil General Manager Atacan Güner spoke on the matter as follows:
"We find university-industry cooperation highly valuable for both parties as well as for our sector, and we pay close attention to this area. We are extremely pleased to have signed a meaningful cooperation with such an established university as Uludağ University.
Since 2010, we have owned a highly equipped R&D Center. We have become a company that produces its own technology. We will sign our first cooperation protocol with Bursa Uludağ University.
I thank the university management for including us in this process, and we believe we will sign valuable projects together. I wish our cooperation to be auspicious for everyone."
Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz, stating that they wanted to share their knowledge and resources with the business world, continued as follows:
"We are conducting intensive discussions with companies open to science, R&D and innovation. Development certainly does not happen in a day. We are making efforts to get to know each other, explain our ideas and create a common working environment. We have begun to reap the rewards of our efforts through implemented and successful projects. We try to breathe the same air as our industrialists in every sense. We allocate significant support for joint projects. Taking steps to be together and work towards a common goal strengthens both our university and business world representatives."Advertisement
