Tüpraş Receives "TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate"

Tüpraş Izmit Refinery has obtained the COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate established by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) within the framework of infection prevention and control procedures. Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) Izmit Refinery, which has fully implemented the infection prevention and control procedures determined by the has successfully passed the inspections and earned the right to obtain the "TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate". Tüpraş, which has rapidly implemented numerous measures to protect its employees and stakeholders at all its refineries and administrative offices from the outset of the process, continues certification procedures at its Izmir, Kırıkkale and Batman refineries. At Tüpraş Izmit Refinery, all measures taken within the framework of TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate procedures were subject to rigorous review by TSE inspectors. Production areas of the Izmit Refinery, personnel service controls, pandemic training, waste management, office compliance, hygiene equipment, cafeteria, rest areas, toilet sterilization, service provider controls and many other applications were inspected in detail. As a result of the evaluation, the Izmit Refinery earned the right to obtain the COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate. Within the scope of ongoing efforts, the Tüpraş Crisis Management Team, which meets weekly via videoconference, evaluates developments at the refineries and subsidiaries and makes decisions on flawlessly implementing necessary actions. From day one against coronavirus-related risks, we have followed the guidance of the World Health Organization and scientists as well as our Ministry of Health. We have closely monitored all developments related to the coronavirus crisis and determined our steps by taking into account the guidance of the Koç Holding Crisis Center.
