Petroleum Exploration License Granted to TPAO and Derkim

Oil Exploration Licenses Granted to TPAO and Derkim ANKARA (AA) Oil exploration licenses have been granted to Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) for fields in Mersin and Hakkari, and to Derkim Poliüretan Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ for fields covering Mardin, Siirt and Şırnak provinces. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources' General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs' decisions regarding oil have been published in the Official Gazette. According to this; TPAO has been granted oil exploration licenses for two offshore areas in Mersin measuring 2,349 and 39,581 hectares respectively for 8 years each, and for a 34,705-hectare onshore field in Hakkari for 5 years. Derkim Poliüretan Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ has been granted an oil exploration license for a 30,701-hectare field covering Mardin, Siirt and Şırnak provinces for 5 years.
