STAR Rafineri and Petkim Rank Among Aegean Region's Largest Companies

STAR Refinery and Petkim Among Aegean Region's Largest Companies STAR Refinery ranked first among the top 100 companies in the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry's 2021 rankings based on production-to-sales ratio. Petkim also placed third on the same list. STAR Refinery and Petkim, group companies of SOCAR Turkey, one of Turkey's largest foreign investors, ranked in the top three of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry's (EBSO) ranking of the 100 largest companies based on 2021 production-to-sales figures. In the ranking, STAR Refinery held first place this year as it did last year, while Petkim placed third among the 100 companies. Despite changing business conditions in 2020 and 2021 with the pandemic, SOCAR Turkey group companies continued to achieve successful results. Zaur Gahramanov, Chief Executive Officer of SOCAR Turkey, stated: "In 2021, with increased demand for petrochemical products, supply constraints were also experienced. However, Petkim and STAR Refinery maintained uninterrupted production with their integrated structures. During this period, SOCAR Turkey group companies supplied the products they produced primarily to the Turkish market and continued to support domestic industry. Being represented by both of our group companies in the upper ranks of the list makes us proud. With our facilities operating in strategic sectors in Turkey, we will continue to demonstrate our production strength and contribute to the economy."
