Nynas Stands Out in Sustainability Nynas' Bio-Based Products NYTRO BIO 300X and NYTEX BIO 6200 Receive ISCC Plus Certification ISCC Plus, a globally recognized voluntary civil certification programme, confirms that bio-based, bio-circular and circular inputs used by companies in their production processes are sustainable. The certification programme provides traceability across the entire supply chain. Simon Day, Vice President Naphthenics at Nynas, said "We are pleased that two of our bio-based products have received this certification. This certificate confirms that the products we offer to our customers are produced in accordance with sustainability principles." Dr. Gaia Franzolin, Naphthenic Marketing Manager at Nynas, commented on the award: "Nynas offers a broad product portfolio with sustainable characteristics in terms of quality and technical performance that contribute to lower energy consumption, improved efficiency, recyclability and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) in various industrial processes and applications. In recent years, we have expanded this approach to include the use of sustainable raw materials in production. Our bio-based products such as NYTRO® BIO 300 X, NYTEX® BIO 6200 and NYTRO® RR 900X are examples of this approach. Through these products, we support our customers in achieving a more sustainable future." Marika Rangstedt, Sustainable Development Manager at Nynas, said "ISCC Plus certification gains significant value in the eyes of our customers. For example, in recent years we have seen the tire industry begin implementing certification to apply a mass balance approach in the formulation of tires made with sustainable raw materials. Providing our customers with certified raw materials is another step in our commitment to improve our performance and keep pace with increasing customer expectations."    

Nynas Receives Gold Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis

Nynas received the EcoVadis Gold Sustainability rating. This rating places the company in the top tier of its category in terms of sustainability performance. Simon Day, Vice President Naphthenics at Nynas, said "We are pleased to be awarded a gold rating from EcoVadis, maintaining the high level we have achieved for approximately ten years" and added "This confirms our commitment to providing transparent and reliable sustainability documentation to customers and partners. I also wish to emphasize the importance of this award for both our employees and the local communities in which we operate." EcoVadis is an independent global assessor of environmental and labour practices, ethics and supply chain sustainability. Nynas' latest ratings were completed in June 2022.
