BAYEGAN, positioned as Turkey's largest polymer and chemical raw material supplier, is shaping the sector's future by extending its sales and trading expertise into production.
The Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) and polyester polyol investments launched last year under BYCHEM are the region's largest and Turkey's first domestic and national production. The new facility targets annual TPU production of 50,000 tons.
With this investment, the aim is to reduce the domestic trade deficit in high-value-added products and increase competitive strength, as well as boost global exports, particularly to Europe and the United States.
Applications for different industries
Next-generation TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) products deliver high-performance, value-added solutions across numerous fields including automotive, textiles, medical and electrical-electronics, industrial applications, composite solutions, defense industry, sports equipment and cable technologies. TPU is being positioned as the "material of the future" in many sectors.
BYFLEXX®TPU: Next-Generation Product Solutions
The BYFLEXX®TPU brand product range, developed entirely by domestic engineering expertise at the modern BYCHEM production facility with 35,000 square meters of closed space and expandable to 55,000 square meters, demonstrates the strength of Turkish industry. The products stand out particularly for their high durability, flexibility and 100% recyclable structure.
BYFLEXX®TPU products are flexible, high-strength and aromatic in nature, encompassing all varieties based on polyester, polyether, polycaprolactone and polycarbonate. The production process, which began with manufacturing all varieties of aromatic TPU, will continue in the next phase with the production of aliphatic TPU varieties. Additionally, composites and compound products of TPU with other polymers will also be included in the portfolio.
Special adhesive groups for furniture and hygiene applications have been activated
BYCHEM's investment plans are not limited to TPU alone. Special adhesive groups have begun to be activated on the company's new production line. Following positive results from trial series, first samples have been delivered to customers. The special adhesive groups will be used particularly in furniture and hygiene applications.
Turkey's first reactive extrusion pilot production line
At the heart of BYCHEM's innovation capability is a 3,300 square meter R&D center. The testing and analysis infrastructure established within the R&D center addresses a broad segment of the polymer industry.
The most important strength of the R&D center is Turkey's first reactive extrusion pilot production line. TPU synthesis can be performed at pilot scale with a capacity of 50 kilograms per hour. Thanks to precise production, rapid trials can be conducted without wasting tons of material, achieving results far more efficiently.
Focus on TPU and niche products in 2026
BYCHEM will strengthen its R&D capabilities and application-based engineering approach, focusing on TPU formulations tailored to specific needs of different sectors and niche products. It will develop TPU solutions that have passed OEM approval processes, comply with regulations, provide high tolerance in production processes and demonstrate proven performance under real-world conditions.
The company aims to offer an end-to-end collaboration model with customers from early stages through product design, prototyping, testing and scaling processes to serial production. This approach will enable BYCHEM to establish long-term and sustainable business partnerships while helping customers bring products to market faster and with confidence.
Through its expanding R&D infrastructure, export-focused capacity increase and value-added product groups, BYCHEM is progressing toward becoming a major player in both the Turkish and international markets in the coming years.
