Applications continue for UNDP Social Innovation Support Program aimed at unlocking women's innovation potential

The UNDP Social Innovation Support Program, launched by the UNDP Turkey Acceleration Laboratory to develop innovative solutions to urban problems and unlock women's innovation potential, accepts applications until 25 January.

The UNDP Turkey Acceleration Laboratory announced the UNDP Social Innovation Support Program on 28 December 2020, implemented in partnership with İstasyonTEDÜ and Uçan Süpürge, and supported through ecosystem partnerships with İmece, Impact Hub Istanbul and Originn. The Support Program was launched to develop more effective, sustainable, inclusive and fair solutions to social problems in cities, in the areas of housing, education, health, mobility, environment and daily life.

The Program aims to promote awareness and culture of social innovation, encourage innovative thinking and collaboration, orient toward systems-level thinking, make good solutions visible and scalable, open space for unexpected actors' solutions, and support the implementation of innovative solutions.

The Program focuses on revealing, mobilizing and supporting women's innovation potential and power. For this reason, it is open to women as individuals and to teams led by or with a majority of women.

Individuals, unincorporated groups and teams, institutions and organizations with legal status from the public sector, private sector and civil society sector, social enterprises, networks, platforms or partnerships can apply to the Program. There is no age limit for application.

Program participants will have the opportunity to benefit from monetary awards as well as feedback on solutions, visibility, networking and collaboration support, promotion within the UNDP global network, support for generating additional resources, provision of incubation or similar services, support for pilot implementations of solutions, and expert support during the piloting period.

Applications to the UNDP Social Innovation Support Program can be submitted until 25 January 2021 Monday, 23:59.
