KOSKİ Laboratory Analyzed 9,200 Water Samples in One Year
Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate completed the analysis of a total of 9,288 water samples in one year at its Water Quality and Control Laboratory, which is accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Body.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate Water Quality Control Laboratory continues to operate as the region's most advanced water laboratory. The Water Quality Control Laboratory, accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Body (TÜRKAK), a member of the European Accreditation Association, conducts water analyses based on incoming requests, demonstrating the quality of water services provided in Konya.
The KOSKİ Water Quality and Control Laboratory, whose international accreditation is confirmed according to the TSE EN ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories Standard, conducts analysis of approximately 90 parameters including physical, chemical and microbiological analyses.
Positive results obtained from analyses
In addition to routine analyses, KOSKİ performs control analyses, paid analyses from external sources, complaint analyses and drinking water treatment facility analyses. In accordance with the transparency principle, KOSKİ regularly shares water analyses on its social media accounts on a weekly basis. Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate examined 9,288 samples at the Water Quality and Control Laboratory over one year and obtained positive results when evaluating the samples according to the standards of the "Regulation on Water Intended for Human Consumption". KOSKİ, with qualified personnel and fully equipped instruments, periodically collects control and monitoring samples from network lines and fresh water fountains, and reported 8,009 samples after conducting monthly physical-chemical and microbiological analyses of samples collected from 31 districts organized into 12 regions pursuant to the Metropolitan Municipality Law. Under the scope of control analyses, 430 samples were examined, 343 samples under paid analyses from external sources, 398 samples under complaint analyses received through CİMER, ALO 185 and petitions, and 108 samples under Drinking Water Treatment Facilities analyses. The KOSKİ Water Quality and Control Laboratory, equipped with a fully automated system for analysis, not only regularly conducts drinking water quality and control for Konya but also responds to requests from neighbouring provinces in the region.
