Körber and AGU announce partnership to further advance digital transformation of laboratory workflows and MES in the pharmaceutical industry. Körber, a leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integrated solutions, has invited AGU Planungsgesellschaft für Automatisierungs-, Gebäude- und Umwelttechnik mbH (AGU), a leading middleware provider that integrates a wide range of devices in laboratories, to join the Körber Ecosystem Partner Program as a "PAS-X MSI Plug & Produce" partner. AGU had previously obtained "Ready" level partner certification for "Sm@rtLine Data Cockpit" (SDC), a data integration solution used by the world's 25 largest pharmaceutical companies to standardize operations and measurements in both approved and non-approved environments. Using robust drivers, its software filters data ranging from simple devices such as pH meters to more complex instruments such as cell counters and metabolite analyzers, providing customers with time and cost savings. Körber's Werum PAS-X MES Suite digitally and in real time controls, monitors and documents manufacturing processes. Customers can seamlessly integrate Körber's leading-in-class ecosystem solutions with PAS-X MSI Plug & Produce with just a few mouse clicks. This code-free integration uses standardized message-based communication between MES and shop floor equipment, as outlined, for example, in the Concept Document of the ISPE Plug & Produce Working Group. AGU's SDC specializes in the integration of laboratory equipment with PAS-X MES and enables complete digitalization of laboratory workflows down to each individual device. Pharmaceutical companies can now integrate PAS-X MES and SDC via PAS-X MSI Plug & Produce to fully automate in real time, via standard interfaces, the transfer of production data to laboratory analysis and analytical data back to MES. Lars Hornung, Senior Manager, Alliance & Technology Partners Software, Körber Business Area Pharma, said: "AGU's expertise and capabilities in integrating laboratory equipment with enterprise systems like PAS-X MES is an important part of enabling our customers to continue their digital transformation journeys." He added: "We are pleased to include AGU in our Körber Ecosystem Partner Program." The partnership between Körber and AGU provides customers with a seamless software solution that meets GMP requirements, significantly reduces laboratory and operator workload, eliminates errors and ensures data integrity. Klaus Bruch, CTO and Founding Partner of AGU, said: "Over the last 14 years, we have developed SDC into a widely adopted solution that enables plug-and-play connectivity of independent devices." "With Körber's PAS-X MES, we can help customers improve their workflows by using fully automated data transfer methods. The certified interface between SDC and PAS-X MES ensures sustainable connectivity of the two systems and mature communication with a high degree of technical maturity." Source
