Evonik Joins MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab to Accelerate Innovation with Artificial Intelligence

Evonik expands collaboration with IBM in digitalization. The two companies are extending their strategic partnership through 2025 ahead of schedule. Making this decision early will create more opportunities for long-term projects.

Additionally, Evonik will participate in artificial intelligence research and development at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Evonik is the first chemical company in the world to join the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab. Henrik Hahn, Chief Digital Officer at Evonik, said: "In this unique collaboration at the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, experts from academia and industry are exploring the potential applications and impacts of artificial intelligence.
