Having implemented its third factory investment in 2019, Sunjin BS has become one of the world's largest producers of zinc oxide and silica in particular, with this new facility holding FDA and API GMP certifications.

  Continuing to make a difference in the sector with its innovative ideas, Sunjin BS produced SUNZnO-OLEO200, a non-nano and COSMOS-certified sun filter this year. The product's most distinctive feature compared to others is its coating technology and, despite its 200nm size, superior transparency compared to many nano-featured products. Coating Technology

The most common coating type for UV filters is typically fatty acids, but the ester functional group is highly susceptible to hydrolysis. Sunjin was the first company to apply fatty alcohol coating to inorganic UV filters. Thanks to this innovative approach, the product delivers the most stable results while preventing unwanted major problems such as discoloration and off-odor. Other criteria to be considered when formulating and manufacturing suncare products are achieving transparent results, measuring accurate and precise SPF and PA values through in-vivo and in-vitro testing, and finally hydrophobicity.
