CND Life Sciences Receives Accreditation from College of American Pathologists CND Life Sciences, a medical technology company pioneering the development of skin-based tests to aid in the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and other neurological disorders, has received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP). CAP accreditation, recognized for its rigorous and robust standards, elevates quality to enable laboratories to contribute to improved patient outcomes. Upon notification of this accreditation, CND's Chief Pathologist and Medical Director Ronald J. Paler, MD, was commended for the excellence of services provided. CND became one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide. Dr. Paler stated, "As an innovative and growing anatomic pathology laboratory, at CND we are committed to the highest quality standards to meet our patient mission," and added, "We are proud to have earned accreditation from the College of American Pathologists and look forward with great anticipation to continuing quality programs in the future." During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors review the laboratory's records and quality control procedures, aiming to ensure the highest standards of care for all laboratory patients. CAP inspectors also observe the qualifications of laboratory personnel, staff competency, equipment, facilities, safety programs and records, and general management. These reviews help verify that the laboratory's operations reflect the latest best practices and meet regulatory guidelines.
