Barring unforeseen circumstances, G Block, with its 25,000 square metres of enclosed area, is planned to be completed and put into service next academic year for student use, significantly addressing short and medium-term needs for academic and administrative spaces." BTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Arif Karademir's inspection tour of the construction projects at the Mimar Sinan Campus was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Sami İmamoğlu, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Bedeloğlu, General Secretary Dr. Murat Bayrak and faculty deans. During the inspection conducted by the BTÜ Rector and senior management of the construction sites, personnel from the Building Works and Technical Department and contractor representatives were also present.

Delegation Tours Construction Site

Prof. Dr. Karademir and the accompanying delegation toured the construction site containing the Heat Centre Building, designed to meet the heating needs of the buildings at the Mimar Sinan Campus and in final stages of construction, as well as G Block with approximately 25,000 square metres of usable area. Rector Arif Karademir Makes Statement

After receiving information from Head of the Building Works and Technical Department Emre Kılınçer and engineers about the Heat Centre with approximately 3,000 square metres of enclosed area, as well as G Block serving various disciplines with 25,000 square metres and accommodating units of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Karademir cautioned relevant parties about ensuring no delays in the process. Following his inspection of the rapidly progressing buildings, Rector Prof. Dr. Arif Karademir made the following statement: "We are exercising maximum care to ensure that the resources provided by the Turkish Republic for BTÜ's use are spent in the most appropriate manner. The Heat Centre Building, which is designed with particular emphasis on energy efficiency and conservation, has been partially put into service. We have placed great importance on the campus having a strong infrastructure. The rough construction of the building, which will house laboratories, classrooms, and various social, academic and administrative spaces, has been completed. Barring unforeseen circumstances, G Block, with its 25,000 square metres of enclosed area, is planned to be completed and put into service next academic year for student use, significantly addressing short and medium-term needs for academic and administrative spaces. However, it should not be forgotten that BTÜ, which continues to show significant quantitative and qualitative development, will have ongoing needs for buildings of various sizes in the medium and long term. Every contribution made to BTÜ will return as support for scientific research, the city, and most importantly, national development."
