BASF Opens New Catamold® Center of Excellence Laboratory in Shanghai

BASF has opened a new Center of Excellence laboratory for its Catamold® operation in Shanghai, China. The new facility will serve as a hub of expertise for solutions and products targeting the metal injection molding (MIM) market in China and the rest of Asia. Lothar Laupichler, Head of the Electronic Materials Business Unit, said: "The establishment of the new laboratory in Shanghai marks an important milestone for our Catamold® business, accelerating product development together with our customers in China."   Timo Schollmeier, Global Business Management Director of Metal Systems at BASF SE, stated: "BASF has consistently demonstrated its commitment and leadership in supplying MIM feedstock for reliable, high-volume metal parts production worldwide.
