Ministry Organizes First National Permitting, Inspection, Laboratory and Environmental Officer Workshop

The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is organizing the "First National Permitting, Inspection, Laboratory and Environmental Officer Workshop" to present solution proposals for problems encountered in permitting, inspection, laboratory and environmental officer matters, strengthen current practices, diversify ongoing research, enable decisions that will guide and support applications and research, and evaluate sector innovations with all relevant stakeholders. The three-day workshop will take place in Afyonkarahisar on 2-4 May 2017. Representatives from universities, organized industrial zones, local authorities, industrialists, companies and public institutions will come together at the workshop. The workshop, which will be held in four separate sessions, will discuss challenges encountered in permitting, inspection, laboratory and environmental management services, solution proposals for these challenges, and necessary steps to increase quality. Commenting on the workshop, Environment and Urbanization Minister Mehmet ÖZHASEKİ stated: "The workshop will be a major opportunity for sharing knowledge, experience and suggestions, discussing problems experienced in our country regarding permitting, inspection, laboratory and environmental management services, and producing solution proposals, and will shed important light on steps to be taken by both the public and private sectors."
