L'Oréal Türkiye Honored by Communitas Awards

L'Oréal Turkey, following the earthquake disaster of the previous year, brought its Mobile Beauty Services truck to thousands of women and children in the earthquake-affected region, breathing beauty into their lives through its purpose of "Creating Beauty That Moves the World," its belief in beauty's power to improve lives, and with over 400 volunteer L'Oréal Turkey employees. L'Oréal Turkey's project was recognized by Communitas Awards, one of the most respected programs in the world of corporate social responsibility, with awards in the "Service to Society" category for "Making a Difference" and "Corporate-Sponsored Volunteering Project." The Mobile Beauty Services truck project, implemented in cooperation with Need Map and Saadet Teacher Association for Combating Child Abuse (UCİM) to determine needs in line with requirements for bringing beauty to the earthquake region, and coordinated by The Captain Agency, received two separate awards from Communitas Awards, one of the most prestigious international programs in the field of corporate social responsibility.

Sinem Sandıkçı Gökçen, Country Manager of L'Oréal Turkey, commenting on the project, said: "With our belief in beauty's power to improve lives and our goal of bringing beauty to the region, we built the Mobile Beauty Services truck. The truck we sent to the earthquake region became a source of hope and relief for both adults and children. Hair, skin care, and makeup services provided to thousands of women

The Mobile Beauty Services truck met women and children in 6 different tent camps in Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Adıyaman to bring beauty to the region. Over the course of one month, the truck provided 7,000 free hair, skin care, and makeup services. Additionally, through a constructed children's playground and children's film screenings, 3,000 children were reached.

In the mobile park that traveled the region with the truck, children had the opportunity to spend enjoyable time. In the evenings, children's films were broadcast on the LED screen located outside the truck, and popcorn was served to children. L'Oréal Turkey worked to bring smiles to children in the earthquake-affected region through the amusement park.
