Beauty Cream Produced from Isabella Grape

Isabella Grape Beauty Cream Produced The press presentation of a beauty cream, one of the first products of the Trabzon Biotechnology, Innovation and Software Center (BİOİNOVAS) designed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO), has been held.

TTSO President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu noted that transforming the flora of our region into value-added products is one of BİOİNOVAS's main objectives and continued as follows:

"It has been determined that Isabella grapes, known as fragrant grapes, carry 6 times more active ingredient compared to examples worldwide. Beauty creams produced from Isabella grapes have been brought to the marketing stage under the Vis Amari brand." Noting that they sent samples of Isabella grapes, an important plant resource of the Eastern Black Sea Region, to the Austrian Institute for Pharmaceutical Research, Hacısalihoğlu stated: "In the studies conducted there, the grape extract was first obtained. Subsequently, the active ingredient was identified. We were reported that the active ingredient is 6 times higher compared to examples worldwide. The active ingredient was found to be usable in cosmetics, as a food additive, and in energy drinks. We quickly turned to the cosmetics sector and focused on cream development. Studies on the formulation were conducted with a company specialized in these matters worldwide. Isabella grapes, as you all know, are produced organically in our region in front of houses and gardens without any chemical use," he stated.

President Hacısalihoğlu noted that the product name was chosen in Latin because marketing activities will be conducted worldwide, particularly in Europe. He continued as follows:

"We have determined our product brand as Vis Amari, which will be produced in the form of night cream, day cream, and hand cream. In Turkish, it means 'Love Me'. During the harvest period last year, we collected 2 tons of grapes from the markets. We extracted their essence and stored it. Market research conducted on the cream informed us that our product is of high quality and will hold an important place in the market." President Hacısalihoğlu noted that studies are also being conducted on cornelian cherry and linden flower under the BİOİNOVAS umbrella, stating: "It has been determined that these two important products of ours contain active ingredients that will be used in the treatment of diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's. We are continuing our work on these matters."
