Product Features and Benefits
Highly Stable - BioEstolides possess excellent oxidative stability compared to other naturally derived oils, extending product shelf life. Excellent Sensory Feel - BioEstolide provides an excellent soft feel. It can be used in hair and skin care to improve sensory properties. Enhanced Moisturization - BioEstolides moisturize, soften and smooth the skin surface without leaving an oily residue. UV Protection - BioEstolides block UV rays. Water Resistance - BioEstolide 1300 is water resistant. Thermal Protection - Helps prevent hair damage when exposed to heat. Healthy Shine - Provides a healthy appearance. Ease of Combing - Reduces the coefficient of friction through the slip effect it provides to hair. Suspension - Helps suspend pigments or UV filters in formulation.
Environmental Benefits
Has a negative carbon footprint. Environmentally Friendly - BioEstolides are non-toxic, biodegradable according to OECD 301 and contain high natural content.
Non-Bioaccumulative
BioEstolides do not accumulate biologically on skin according to OECD 107. Naturally Sourced

Pigment Dispersion
BioEstolides provide excellent pigment dispersion. BioEstolide 1300 most effectively suspends pigments and forms stable suspensions with micronized zinc oxide, micronized titanium dioxide and iron oxide. BioEstolides demonstrate better performance than natural or plant-based oils in terms of pigment dispersion.  
Hair Care
BioEstolides offer the following properties and benefits in hair care formulations: Thermal Protection - BioEstolides provide heat protection up to 450°F. BioEstolides are among the least volatile oils on the market and are thermally very stable. Healthy Shine - When tested by an independent laboratory, BioEstolides demonstrated superior performance in shine compared to competing products. Reduced Friction - Reduces the coefficient of friction through the slip effect it provides to hair.
UV Blocking Property
BioEstolide moisturizes, softens and smooths the skin surface without leaving an oily residue. When used in personal care formulations, BioEstolides possess the ability to block natural UV rays. Although not active sun filters, they can enhance the use of chemical and/or physical filters. Additionally, BioEstolide 1300 has water resistance properties. This is particularly useful in sunscreen formulations where environmental concerns are important. Furthermore, BioEstolides are biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative and non-toxic.
