"This Year We Faced Particularly Strong Demand and Interest from Abroad"
BeautyEurasia Fair Director Filiz Mehmedova evaluated the fair's performance this year. Mehmedova stated: "BeautyEurasia, which has a mission beyond creating ground for new cooperation and export opportunities, successfully continued charting the sector's roadmap this year. Hosting new export opportunities, BeautyEurasia this year faced particularly strong demand and interest from abroad. At fair stands where hair, makeup, nail, hair removal and personal care trends and tips of the trade were shared, participants and visitors were also provided with information about techniques and products."
"BeautyEurasia Created New Business, Partnership and Export Opportunities for Turkey with its Strong Regional Network"
Noting that cosmetics exports showed growth in all product categories in the first quarter except hair removal products, Mehmedova stated: "As Turkey emerges as an important cosmetics production country, additional supply demand has also increased. Looking at the first quarter of 2023, we see that Turkey is achieving export growth in the cosmetics sector generally and above many sector averages. In light of these developments, with exports in this sector rising 27.1% compared to the same period in 2022 and reaching USD 652.3 million in the first quarter of 2023, BeautyEurasia created new business, partnership and export opportunities for Turkey with its strong regional network. As Turkey's sole cosmetics fair for 18 years, we are pleased to contribute to the sector's development and the economy through BeautyEurasia, which this year welcomed 19,799 visitors from 128 countries."
