Turkish Pharmaceutical Brand Signs Deal with German Manufacturer

Turkish Pharmaceutical Brand Enters Agreement with German Manufacturer Kaiser İlaç, a subsidiary of TBY Holding, announced that it is in the agreement phase with German manufacturer Plantafood Medical GmbH to place nine formulations whose licensing rights it acquired from inventors Erdal Can Alkoçlar and Metehan Yeşil on European shelves. Kaiser İlaç CEO Ömer Akkaş stated that they are making steady progress within the vision of placing a total of 40 dietary supplements and herbal medicinal product equivalent formulations on European shelves by the end of 2023. "We aim to register all of our herbal medicinal product equivalent formulations derived from the relevant formulations in the German reimbursement system. We are in discussions with inventors Erdal Can Alkoçlar and Metehan Yeşil on this matter," he said. Akkaş noted that the relevant formulations are inventions resulting from the first Turkish patents to be launched on the market in the European Union. "Previously, our group carried out a technology transfer project to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but our formulations that will be licensed throughout the entire European Union will be the first Turkish patent-based products developed in the concept of biosecurity and preventive medicine to enter Europe.
