Sulfate-Free Surfactant Blend for Shampoo & Personal Care

Kale Kimya Grubu manufactures Teqpon AAB at its production facilities in Düzce, spanning 10,000 m². The product is one of approximately 90 items produced in line with local and new product concepts. Teqpon AAB is a high-performance, cost-effective surfactant blend for your sulfate-free formulations. To avoid the carcinogenic effects that sulfated compounds can trigger in the body, the market trend toward "sulfate-free" products is becoming increasingly popular. Such products contain different compounds as surfactants instead of SLES. Teqpon AAB composition consists of the following chemicals: Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate & Lauryl Glucoside & Cocoamidopropyl Betaine

Key properties of Teqpon AAB:

• Easily adaptable to formulations, • Simple processing for shampoos and shower gels, • Low irritation due to sulfate-free composition; provides mild effect, • High foam quality, • Preservative-free, • Concentrate product; creates stock advantage, • Suitable for cold processing; provides energy and time savings, • Fast and secure supply, • Possible to dissolve 2% salicylic acid with 20% Teqpon AAB. Teqpon AAB can be used in all formulations containing surfactants. Primary applications include: shampoo, shower gel, liquid soap, liquid laundry detergent, and dish detergent. Foam comparison tests conducted on 5% solutions of Teqpon AAB and SLES showed that Teqpon AAB demonstrated superior performance:

Optimal selection according to viscosity-salt diagram: • For shampoo (10-Active; viscosity 6,200 cps): - Teqpon AAB 22.3% - Glyceryl Caprylate/Caprate 0.3% - No salt • For liquid soap (6.5-Active; viscosity 5,900 cps): - Teqpon AAB 14.4% - Cocoamide DEA 1% - No salt Viscosity values produced by Teqpon AAB with different preservatives and additional salt use are also indicated in the following table:   Özgür Çelen Marketing Manager Kale Kimya Grubu
