SNSG Talent Competition, Final Application Deadline 17 February 2023 Yeşilay, in cooperation with the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education, has set the final application deadline for the 12th edition of the Healthy Generation Healthy Future Talent Competition to be held during the 2022-2023 academic year as 17 February 2023. The competition is expected to distribute a total of TRY 1,152,000 in monetary prizes. Yeşilay, in cooperation with the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education, has opened applications for the 12th edition of the Healthy Generation Healthy Future Talent Competition, which has been organized regularly every year since 2011 to raise awareness among children and young people regarding addiction. The competition is open to all students studying at primary, secondary and high school levels under the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education in 81 provinces. The final application deadline has been set as 17 February 2023. With the aim of informing children and young people against harmful habits; raising awareness of the negative and destructive effects of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances, gambling and technology addiction; increasing the awareness levels of the new generation regarding addiction; and encouraging their talents; the competition, organized in two separate categories—visual and literary—is expected to distribute a total of TRY 1,152,000 in monetary prizes. Participants may submit works in the "Addiction" themed competition in the visual category as posters, drawings, cartoons or short videos; and in the literary category as compositions, poems, short stories, essays or memoirs—selecting only one type from each category. All applications will be made via snsg.yesilay.org.tr. In the competition, the first evaluation will be conducted by commissions established at schools to select school winners. The second evaluation will be conducted by commissions formed at district national education directorates to determine district winners in visual and literary categories at primary, secondary and high school levels. As a result of the third evaluation to be conducted by commissions formed at provincial national education directorates, provincial winners will be selected and submitted to the assessment of Yeşilay General Management. A total of 486 provincial winners will be selected during the 2022-2023 academic year. The fourth and final evaluation will be conducted by a commission composed of representatives from Yeşilay and the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education at Yeşilay Headquarters. Works ranking first, second and third nationwide by level and category will be determined between 24-28 April 2023. The results of the competition will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held on 2 June 2023. As a result of the competition, provincial winners will receive TRY 2,000 in monetary prizes. Following the evaluation of works nationwide, participants placing first in each category will receive TRY 15,000; those placing second will receive TRY 10,000; and those placing third will receive TRY 5,000.
