Santa Farma's GEBKİM Facility Receives Dual GMP Certification from Russia and Kazakhstan

Santa Farma has reinforced its competence in international production and quality standards with a new achievement. The company's manufacturing facility in the Kocaeli GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone has successfully completed Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections conducted by Russian and Kazakh health authorities, earning GMP certificates from both countries.

Santa Farma, one of Turkey's established pharmaceutical manufacturers, has crossed another important threshold in line with its growth strategy in Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) markets. The successful completion of comprehensive inspections carried out by Russian and Kazakh health authorities has once again demonstrated the company's competence in compliance with international regulations.

Strong contribution to growth strategy in the Eurasian market
The inspection process conducted under Eurasian Economic Union regulations was completed with only limited non-critical findings. Following the successful general assessment report, Santa Farma received official GMP certificates from both Russian and Kazakh health authorities.

The company has further strengthened its reliability in international quality standards with these new certificates, following GMP approvals it previously received from Brazilian and Peruvian health authorities. The inspections evaluated the company's compliance with global standards in critical areas including cleaning and cross-contamination validation, computerized systems, documentation procedures, training practices and quality risk management.

In an assessment regarding the matter, Santa Farma CEO Sami Kiresepi noted that the GMP certificates obtained from Russia and Kazakhstan represent an important milestone for the company's global growth vision.

Kiresepi stated: "Successfully completing these critical inspections conducted by Russian and Kazakh health authorities and obtaining our GMP certificates is one of the important indicators of our vision to position Santa Farma as a reliable manufacturer in global markets. Exports to more than 65 countries
Santa Farma, founded in 1944, currently operates with 74 brands and 150 products across 10 different therapeutic areas in Turkey. Its manufacturing facility in the GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone, which holds European Union GMP certification, operates with an annual production capacity of 150 million boxes in a covered area of 44,000 square meters.

The company continues its growth in international markets while operating in more than 65 countries alongside Turkey, and aims to strengthen its growth targets in Eurasian Economic Union countries with the new GMP certificates.
