Santa Farma Supports Women's Cooperatives
Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals supports the empowerment of women who transform their labour into products across every corner of Anatolia each year on 8 March, International Women's Day.
With support from the Optimistic Sister Social Initiative, Santa Farma reaches women's cooperatives in different provinces and the products they produce. This year, the company supported women cooperative members in Izmir Karşıyaka, Bergama and Demirköprü.
Women participate in employment through cooperatives
Sema Yetkiner, Human Resources Director at Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals, stated: "Cooperatives established by women, particularly in Anatolia, are very valuable to us with their distinctive ideas and the precious products they produce. Through cooperatives, women participate in employment, gain professional and social competencies and generate economic income. Women work to develop themselves, their families and their regions, improve their quality of life and make a difference. As Santa Farma, we support women's participation in the workforce on equal terms with men and their right to education. As we have done over the past 4 years, this year too we are supporting women's cooperatives for all our employees. We are pleased to have supported 15 different cooperatives over 5 years, reaching 400 women producers."Advertisement
