Roche Pharma Turkey won first-place awards at the Istanbul Marketing Awards ceremony in the 'Health Communication' category with its "Medikaynak" and "JIApp" applications, and in the 'Sustainability Communication' category with its social responsibility project titled "Seas Full of Life." Medikaynak website and mobile application, one of the projects that won an award in the Health Communication category, was designed as a platform that enables healthcare professionals from different medical disciplines to continuously benefit from it and to access the most current medical information quickly thanks to the numerous features it offers. With different modules such as medical news, training, meetings and events, Medikaynak allows users to follow important developments in the news while also making calculations and daily communication more practical. Through Medikaynak's RxMediaPharma module, which processes an average of nearly 8,000 queries per month, physicians can access the archive of all medications.
The other award-winning project in the same category was the JIApp mobile application developed together with the Child Rheumatology Society for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), a childhood rheumatic disease.
Launched to help patients continue their treatment without interruption and ease their lives, the JIApp enables doctors to establish direct contact with their patients while easily monitoring the effectiveness of the treatment they are providing. The "Seas Full of Life" project, a reflection of the 'sustainability vision' that is an integral part of Roche's activities as it has worked for over 120 years to improve lives, is being implemented by Roche Pharma Turkey and the Islands Sea Life and Sports Club Association (ADYSK) to leave future generations the Marmara Sea preserved with all its hidden treasures. Within the scope of the project, Turkey's first coral transplantation was carried out in the Marmara Sea Islands region to protect sea corals, one of the most important links in the marine ecosystem, while thousands of square meters of ghost nets, which pose a serious threat to the marine habitat for the sustainability of biodiversity, were also removed from the sea. Within the project for the sustainability of biodiversity in the Marmara Sea, it is aimed to support the relocation of corals to areas without human presence through training to be provided by ADYSK and voluntary participation of Roche employees, removal of ghost nets, coastal and seabed cleaning and awareness activities.
