Polifarma Achieves a First in Digital Transformation Process

Polifarma, a domestic and national pharmaceutical company producing in Turkey's healthcare sector for 35 years, has launched its SAP S/4HANA project in collaboration with itelligence as part of its digital transformation process. The SAP S/4HANA project was among the first projects to go live in Turkey using a remote work model. Polifarma Pharmaceutical, one of Turkey's largest manufacturers in hospital medicines and serums, has set an important precedent with its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system project, which it implemented through remote work methods despite the pandemic period. The Polifarma SAP S/4HANA project, conducted with itelligence, a global platinum partner of SAP, was among the first projects to go live in Turkey using a remote work model in just 9 months. Despite the pandemic, many sectors have maintained pace in their digital transformation journeys. Most recently, Polifarma, a domestic and national pharmaceutical company with 35 years of experience in the healthcare sector, implemented its SAP S/4HANA project through itelligence Turkey consulting and remote work methods. Setting a precedent in Turkey, Polifarma has created an integrated structure encompassing all business processes within the company. Through the project, end-to-end process changes were made in human resources, logistics, finance and analytics, and a drug tracking system infrastructure was also established and integrated with packaging applications. The new infrastructure provided within the logistics scope was launched in procurement, inventory management, shipping and invoicing, production, quality, project and warehouse management.  

A project to set an example for the sector

With the SAP S/4HANA project, users or automatically generated orders can be tracked in real time; material reservations, labor confirmations and measurement documents can be entered into the system while working in the field. Through reservations, immediate material requests can be made, enabling raw material procurement to be provided quickly. Additionally, the Fiori application provides our employees with the opportunity to log into screens quickly, while working hours can also be calculated by the system. We believe that completing this entire process through remote work methods in as short a time as 9 months, and the success we have recorded, will set an example for the sector."
