Pierre Fabre Group Unites Under a Single Management Structure

Pierre Fabre, one of France's largest companies, has consolidated its two operations in Turkey—pharmaceuticals and dermocosmetics—under a single management structure. For the first time in its history, Pierre Fabre Turkey will be led by a single person: General Manager Dr. Hande Demirdere. Dr. Hande Demirdere will oversee both pharmaceutical and dermocosmetic companies. Dr. Hande Demirdere continued: "During my more than three years as General Manager at Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals, I have had the privilege of witnessing the success of the products we introduced. As Pierre Fabre Turkey, in our first year we ranked among the three fastest-growing Pierre Fabre countries, and last year, following the global agreement with Pfizer, we became the most successful country in worldwide sales rankings with our product used in treating urinary incontinence. We are also working in women's health with treatments for urinary tract infections, a common problem among women, iron supplements combined with folic acid used by anemic patients and pregnant women, and breast cancer products in the oncology category. In the dermocosmetic field, our priority brands Avène and Ducray, with hundreds of products ranging from moisturizers to sunscreen and hair loss prevention formulas to anti-perspirant lotions, enhance the beauty of our women. We are a company focused on growth trends and investment. Through global partnerships that Pierre Fabre has established, we are working to develop products for different cancer types, such as malignant melanoma and metastatic colorectal cancer, and make them available to patients. More than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector

Hande Demirdere, who graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completed her specialty training in Internal Medicine at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2001, began her career as a Medical Manager at Novartis. After serving as Group Medical Manager and Product Manager at Novartis, she took on the role of Group Medical Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2006 and joined Abbott in 2007, where she held mid and senior management positions in Sales and Marketing functions for 2 years in Turkey and 6 years in Russia. Between 2015 and 2017, she served as Business Unit Director at Takeda. Dr. Hande Demirdere started as General Manager at Pierre Fabre Turkey Pharmaceutical Company on 2 January 2017, and as of October 2019 had been temporarily managing Pierre Fabre Turkey Dermocosmetics Company. As of January, Dr. Hande Demirdere was appointed General Manager of Pierre Fabre Turkey, marking the first time in the company's history that both pharmaceutical and dermocosmetic operations are managed by a single person. Dr. Hande Demirdere is married and mother of one daughter; she speaks English, French, and Russian.
