Diabetic individuals spend an average of one hour per day managing their treatment and achieve normal blood sugar levels for only half the day. More than 30.2 million people with type 2 diabetes worldwide use insulin every day. People with type 1 diabetes undergo approximately 65,000 injections over their lifetime. Each time they also need to keep records for their doctor or nurse. At Novo Nordisk, we are working to reduce some of this daily burden. Starting with smart insulin pens, we are developing new digital solutions."
