Novartis Oncology Launches Breast Cancer Project
Novartis Oncology Turkey has launched the "United Against Breast Cancer" project in collaboration with cancer-focused associations as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to a statement from Novartis Oncology Turkey, the project aims to draw attention to breast cancer, emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and increase public awareness.
Pınar Üstündağ, General Director of Novartis Oncology Turkey, noted that they provide treatment solutions addressing the evolving needs of patients and communities in relation to cancer.

Pınar Üstündağ reported that in Turkey, with 20 products and approximately 100 employees in oncology and hematology, they play an important role in fighting cancer. Noting that they are among the companies conducting the most clinical research in cancer with over 30 ongoing clinical trials in Turkey to provide patients access to innovative medicines, Üstündağ stated that in addition to treatments in fighting cancer, the Novartis Oncology Turkey team develops projects with relevant associations and civil society organizations to increase cancer awareness in society and aims to contribute to raising public consciousness about cancer.
Üstündağ provided information that through the "United Against Cancer" awareness project, they have reached over 70 million views nationwide in Turkey to date. Emphasizing that correct psychological support during the disease process is very important for cancer treatment patients and their families, Üstündağ stated: "Through the projects implemented, we have made significant contributions to this area.
Throughout October, with the 'United Against Breast Cancer' project, we aim to draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis particularly in breast cancer, while creating public awareness regarding the importance of treatment continuity and the added value created by psychological support."
According to the information provided, Novartis Oncology Turkey has supported the Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the "United Against Breast Cancer" campaign, implementing the "United Against Cancer" awareness project since 2016 in collaboration with relevant associations to support patients and their families.
Within the scope of the project, a video series titled "Notice, Don't Delay," "Ask-Trust-Don't Postpone" and "You're Not Alone" aims to increase awareness and consciousness about breast cancer.
In the "Notice, Don't Delay" video, attention is drawn to the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer, while in the "Ask-Trust-Don't Postpone" video, a specialist physician answers questions about breast cancer that patients are curious about.
In the video titled "You're Not Alone," the breast cancer journey is addressed from the perspective of patients and their families.
