Discovery World Project Invites Children to Science

Henkel's World of Discovery project, designed to help children uncover their inner genius, is inviting all young learners to free science workshops. In laboratory work where children take their first steps in science by conducting experiments under the guidance of teachers from the Association of Creative Children and learn about sustainability, the World of Discovery operates its center at the Darüşşafaka Society's Maslak campus. All children participating in the project, which received the Gold Achievement Award in the Quality Education Category of the Sustainable Development Goals Awards held for the 11th time this year by the Turkish Corporate Social Responsibility Association, have fun while learning. World of Discovery encourages children to take an interest in science at an early age. Developing children's sense of curiosity and courage to ask questions forms the foundation of this project. In World of Discovery, all children conduct experiments like researchers. Moreover, in the experiments they conduct their research entirely using natural materials. At the end of the program, they receive inventor certificates. Additionally, children come to understand the importance of consuming less, reusing and recycling for sustainability. World of Discovery is open to all schools and students aged 8-10. World of Discovery science workshops at the Darüşşafaka Maslak campus are held on Mondays (11.00-12.30), Tuesdays (11.00-12.30 / 13.00-14.30) and Wednesdays (11.00-12.30).
