IEIS SUPPORTS TRAINING OF SKILLED WORKFORCE

Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Association launches "İEİS Future Leaders" Project in collaboration with Turkish Education Foundation

The Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Association (İEİS), a long-established and leading organization in Turkey's pharmaceutical industry, has added a new initiative to its efforts for sectoral development. In cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), İEİS aims to provide educational scholarships to high-achieving young people and prepare them adequately for the pharmaceutical industry. Launched with an introductory meeting held at İEİS, participating students met with mentors selected from among İEİS Board members and received information about the program.

Throughout the program, students will meet regularly with their mentors and will also receive various training courses and have the opportunity to intern at pharmaceutical companies.İEİS is implementing the "İEİS Future Leaders" project in cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation to bring qualified workforce to the pharmaceutical industry.

Commenting on the matter, İEİS Board Chairman Nezih Barut stated: "As İEİS, with our 56 national and multinational members, we continue our efforts to make Turkey's pharmaceutical industry a global force. The human resources, as the foundation of our industry's high added value and advanced technology-based structure, is our greatest capital. We are conscious of this. It is our responsibility to invest in our sector's future and qualified human resources. Within this scope, through our "İEİS Future Leaders" project, which we are implementing in cooperation with TEV, we will support the education of our successful young people. We will not limit our support to this alone, but will conduct activities to introduce our pharmaceutical industry to young people and ensure they graduate with the knowledge and vision necessary for their professional lives. Starting this project today with five students, our priority goal will be to increase this number in the coming years," he said. TEV Board Chairman Rona Yırcalı, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation being conducted with İEİS, provided the following information about the project: "Throughout our 50 years of operation, advancing toward goals that 'lead the era,' developing and implementing best practices have been among our priorities. In this direction, while we meticulously continue our efforts to contribute to the education of more students each year, we have valued business partners who support our vision of a bright future. Through our "İEİS Future Leaders" project, which we have launched with İEİS, the most long-established organization in Turkey's pharmaceutical industry, we aim to show our young people a new horizon as they build their futures and to prepare them as more equipped individuals for their professional lives.
