Dassault Systèmes Continues Its Focus on Life Sciences Applications

Dassault Systèmes announced that it has joined as lead investor in a EUR 65 million Series B funding round for BioSerenity, a startup developing a comprehensive and effective healthcare solution consisting of sensor-equipped fabrics for diagnosis and monitoring of chronic diseases and associated online remote healthcare services. The funding round also included participation from BioSerenity's three current investors: BPI, Idinvest and LBO. Additionally, Dassault Systèmes will continue its board membership at BioSerenity. The financing obtained through the funding round will support BioSerenity in extending its solutions beyond cardiovascular disease, neurology and sleep disorders; scaling the company internationally; and developing new remote healthcare solutions. Part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, BioSerenity is developing wearable medical devices and digital bedside care solutions by leveraging innovations in fabric and artificial intelligence technologies as well as patient-reported electronic outcomes (ePRO), Internet of Things and cloud technologies. The startup provides hospitals and healthcare professionals with a portfolio consisting entirely of operational support services. BioSerenity also offers turnkey solutions for diagnostic support. This multifaceted approach enables hospitals to operate more cost-effectively and efficiently while helping patients receive accurate diagnosis in shorter timeframes and enabling healthcare providers to shape and administer treatment using clinical and real-world data.
