New Appointments Made at Daiichi Sankyo

Daiichi Sankyo, a Japan-based pharmaceutical company with strong products in cardiology and oncology that is growing in Turkey and globally, continues to strengthen its team with experienced professionals. The company, which has been operating in Turkey since 2008, has appointed Nazlı Kayın as Sales Director, Pınar Özeken as Market Access and Licensing Director, and Zafer Mavioğlu as Medical Manager. Having added new names to its roster last year, Daiichi Sankyo continues its growth trajectory in 2020.

Sales Director: Nazlı Kayın

Nazlı Kayın, who will assume responsibilities in sales, sales training and commercial channels in the company's Turkey operations, graduated from Marmara University, Department of International Relations and Politics in 2007. Kayın completed her master's degree in Brand and Production Management at Marmara University in 2008. Beginning her career in 2007 as a Product Introduction Representative at Abdi İbrahim İlaç, Kayın held successively the positions of Junior Product Manager, Product Manager, Senior Product Manager and Group Product Manager until 2017. Subsequently, she worked at Danone Nutricia between March 2017 and January 2020 as Manager in the Marketing, Istanbul Regional Sales and Oncology Department Sales and Marketing departments.

Market Access and Licensing Director: Pınar Özeken

Pınar Özeken, appointed as Market Access and Licensing Director at Japan-based pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, graduated from Boğaziçi University in 2007 with a double major in Molecular Biology and Genetics and Chemistry. After completing her first master's degree in Biomedical Engineering & Medical Systems and Informatics at Boğaziçi University, Özeken completed her second master's degree in Pharmacoeconomics at Pompeu Fabra University in Spain. Following her undergraduate graduation, Özeken began her career in 2007 as a Medical Quality Specialist at Pfizer İlaç, then continued as a Health Economics and Outcomes Specialist. In 2011, she joined Boehringer Ingelheim İlaç as a Reimbursement and Health Economics Manager. Working at MSD İlaç as Market Access and Pricing Manager between 2014 and 2016, Özeken was appointed as Market Access and Health Economics Manager at AstraZeneca İlaç between 2016 and 2018. Before joining Daiichi Sankyo, Özeken served at Sanofi İlaç since 2018 as Corporate Relations and Health Policy Manager and as Market Access Leader responsible for Hematology, Oncology, Vaccines and Diabetes areas.

Medical Manager: Zafer Mavioğlu

Zafer Mavioğlu, appointed as Medical Manager at Japan-based pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2017-2019, Mavioğlu worked at GSK successively as Digital Medical Manager and e-Regional Medical Manager. Before joining Daiichi Sankyo, Mavioğlu served as Regional Medical Manager at Merck Grup.
