A Food Supplement Syrup Produced from Pine Cones
Dr. Hande Karagedik, a Molecular Medicine physician at Istanbul University, has achieved remarkable results with a dietary supplement syrup produced from maritime pine cones. Working to create a cough syrup from pine tree derivatives initially prepared to help her aunt's cough as a child, Karagedik developed Pinaster Pine, which both alleviates cough and strengthens the immune system.
Dr. Hande Karagedik has achieved success through numerous studies in the medical field, and through the research and development company she founded, she exemplifies entrepreneurship. In July 2019, with support from TÜBİTAK, Karagedik refined the family formula and transformed it into a natural cough syrup, combining plants with modern medicine.
